This holiday season, Project Intentional (projectintentional.com) will serve 345 families, representing 513 adults and 950 children, through its annual Love Can Store. Each household will receive socks, hygiene items, and a $150 check, offering parents the dignity of choice in how best to care for their loved ones.
During the application process, families overwhelmingly shared that any additional financial support would be used for essentials like paying a critical bill or putting food on the table. By trusting families, Project Intentional affirms their ability to make the best decisions for their household.
The need in our community continues to grow. This year, 644 families applied for sponsorship, nearly double the number the organization can serve. While the impact being made is significant, the demand far exceeds available resources, showing the urgent need for more individuals, businesses, and organizations to step forward.
The Love Can Store model is designed to reduce waste, keep resources local, and restore dignity to every participant. By focusing on what matters most, Project Intentional makes every contribution go further and helps families in the most meaningful way.
At the Love Can Store, love takes on a tangible form. It looks like dignity restored. It looks like generosity on display. And it looks like a community refusing to let families feel unseen or unsupported.
