Project Harmony (projectharmony.com) has opened registration for the upcoming 17th annual Speaking of Children Luncheon and Conference on April 2-3. The event will be held at the Embassy Suites Omaha-La Vista Conference Center. The honorary chairs are Anne and Arnie Weitz, and event chairs are Fatima Basith and Andrea Marshall.

Speaking of Children, with the mission of inspiring and educating the community in the fight against child abuse, is Project Harmony’s signature event. This is a two-day conference and keynote luncheon in partnership with Boys Town, Children’s Nebraska, Nebraska Alliance of Child Advocacy Centers and the US Attorney’s Office – District of Nebraska.

The keynote speaker for this year’s event is John Walsh. John is an anti-crime activist and was the longtime host and a producer of America’s Most Wanted, a show that helped law enforcement capture more than 1,100 dangerous fugitives and brought home more than 50 missing children.

The full list of the conference speakers and schedule is available online. Sessions will focus on Investigation, Treatment, Prevention & Early Intervention and Professional Wellness. Please note the Keynote Luncheon will be on day two (April 3) of the conference instead of day one as in previous years.
