Project Harmony Offers Online Safety Training March 5
Project Harmony (ProjectHarmony.com) reminds the community that Tuesday, February 5 is Safer Internet Day—a day that aims to not only create a safer internet, but also a better internet, where everyone is empowered to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically, and creatively. With this in mind, Project Harmony is giving people the chance to register for their upcoming online safety training, which will take place on March 5.
Project Harmony’s online safety trainings specialize in educating parents, caregivers, and educators with the knowledge and resources needed to protect children from online dangers including predators, cyber bullies, and threats related to gaming, social networking and mobile devices.
The internet has significantly changed the way that our children are interacting with the world. They have access to in-depth knowledge, tools to express their creativity, and people from all over the world. Yet, along with offering an intriguing, new way to connect, the internet also offers opportunity for risk. According to Pew Research Center, teens are increasingly sharing information on social media sites. In addition to the information share on various social media platforms, teen social media profiles are equally revealing.
Project Harmony helps community members protect and support the most vulnerable, restoring courage, facilitating healing, and empowering all to be someone in the life of a child. Register for the upcoming March 5 training at ProjectHarmony.com.
