A team of 17 Omaha companies sent a check for $67,300 to Peyton Manning’s “PeyBack Foundation,” at least one highlight for the Bronco’s QB after an otherwise rough Super Bowl Sunday.  The “Omaha Peysback” collective, spearheaded by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, originally agreed to donate a combined $1,700 every time Manning shouted “Omaha!” during the globally-televised championship against the Seattle Seahawks.  With the rambunctious crowd, the audibles were tough to hear.  That didn’t stop this huddle of Omaha companies from supporting the great cause.  All told, “Omaha Peysback” resulted in a $67,300 donation to the PeyBack Foundation over the course of two games.  Eight companies participated in the initial “Omaha Peysback” on January 19: CenturyLink, ConAgra Foods, Cox Communications, DJ’s Dugout, First National Bank of Omaha, Mutual of Omaha, Omaha Steaks, and Union Pacific.  Nine more companies signed on to donate on Super Bowl Sunday: Bank of the West, Brix – A Wine and Spirits Experience, HDR Inc., NorthStar Financial, Omaha Area Board of REALTORS, Omaha Storm Chasers, Omaha Box Company, One Transcription Services, and Oriental Trading Company.

Manning’s PeyBack Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that promotes the future success of at-risk children by assisting programs that provide leadership and growth opportunities.
