Graceland Park Cemetery and Paws to Angels Pet Loss Center & Services will be holding the Grand Opening for Nebraska’s first Pet Ossuary in a human cemetery.  This event will take place on April 12th at 2 p.m. at Graceland Park Cemetery, located on the S.W. corner of 42nd and L streets in Omaha.  The Pet Ossuary, or large underground urn for cremated remains of deceased pets, named “Pets at Peace Gardens”, is a place of rest and reflection and provides a place for pet parents to mourn and celebrate their pet’s life.  This Grand Opening event will be joined by Taysia Blue Siberian Husky Rescue where they will be interring Maya, a husky that passed while in rescue, who died too young because of the abuse she suffered at the hands of her owners. Maya will be the first of three pets to be interred, and families of those pets will be joining the event for a memorial service.

Paws To Angels, established in January 2012, is the first and only full service pet loss center in Nebraska.
