The Papillion Community Foundation is excited to announce that they are holding a community wide Chili Cook-Off as part of the 2013 Winter Wonderland Celebration. The Papillion Community Foundation is currently seeking individuals, teams or organizations that would like to participate in the cook-off for cash prizes.

The 2013 Chili Cook-Off will be held at Papillion Fire Station One at 146 N. Adams Street beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 24. Chili will be judged by a panel of community judges at 4:30 p.m. From 5-8 p.m. the event is open to the public, admission is $5 for a ‘bottomless bowl’ of chili and children 6 and under eat free. Bring a personal hygiene item to be donated to the Tri-City Food Pantry and be registered to win four VIP carnival passes for Papillion Days 2014.

Entry forms for those wishing to compete in the Chili Cook-Off can be found on the Papillion Community Foundation’s website at www.papillionfoundation.org. The fee to enter is $15 per entry and one roaster of chili is required. Prizes for the event include a $250 Grand Prize for Best in Show, $100 Runner-Up for Best in Show and $150 for People’s Choice Award. Other events that day include free carriages rides, hot chocolate, popcorn, live entertainment and visits with Santa from 5-9 PM in front of Papillion City Hall.
