Outlook Nebraska to Host Vision Beyond Sight Fundraiser

Join Outlook Nebraska (outlookne.org/vbs) on November 2 for a night of inspiration at their Vision Beyond Sight event. The fundraiser will go from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Embassy Suites La Vista Conference Center. Attendees will enjoy a gourmet meal and Dessert in the Dark. They will also meet successfully employed visually impaired associates and hear their stories. The motivational keynote speaker will be Coach Vera Jones, a single mother to a blind son. Vera will share her captivating story of discovering a greater purpose in the challenges of life.

Vera Jones is a Big Ten Network analyst and college basketball coach. While Vera still enjoys a career broadcasting sports, she passionately pursues her purpose by empowering individuals and teams to “Play Through the Foul” of adversity and win in this game of life! Her empathic leadership approach has been aided by working on the school improvement committee of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. She is on a mission of fidelity to uplift people to overcome adversity with the power of faith, unity, perseverance, and purpose.

Vision Beyond Sight is an opportunity to learn how our technology training, employment, recreation, cultural, and education programs impact clients of all ages living right here in Omaha.
