Experience the journey beyond vision! Unite to show Omaha community members with vision loss that they are not alone. Be part of Outlook Enrichment’s (outlooken.org) annual Vision Beyond Sight Gala on November 8 at the Omaha Marriott Downtown in the Capitol District.
The gala features community members with vision loss who will share their experiences and journeys to independence. By attending the gala, community members will empower people living with vision loss with the skills and tools they need to achieve their goals.
The gala’s highlight and the most thought-provoking experience is Dessert in the Dark.
Outlook will provide attendees with sleep shades to sample dessert without sight. This activity encourages reliance on other senses and offers many guests a new perspective, which mirrors the challenges faced by individuals living with vision loss.
Outlook will recognize its associate and volunteer of the year and have adaptive activities for everyone to participate in during the event. Doors open at 5 p.m. A social hour, silent auction and wine will follow at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m. The evening will be inspiring and comfortable fun as attendees are encouraged to wear their best jeans and favorite sports team shirt.
