Out Beside You Presents Flat Water Ice Bowl at Pheasant Bonanza

Out Beside You (outbesideyou.org) is excited to announce that their second annual Flat Water Ice Bowl fundraising event will be held February 21–22 at Pheasant Bonanza. This charity ice fishing event is open to the first 20 teams to sign up (entry deadline is February 15). The bar at Pheasant Bonanza Hunt Club & Kennel’s lodge (3097 Co Road O, Tekamah, NE 68061) will open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, February 21, with dinner, the pond draw, and a Calcutta to follow. Saturday’s activities will begin with lines in at 8:30 a.m. and lines out at 4 p.m., but weigh-in will be available from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Dinner and awards at the lodge will follow.

The cost for a two-person team is $299, which includes entry, two dinners per person, fishing at a private pond, and waxed worms and frozen minnows. Call for a la carte options (only $175 for a guide + all ice fishing gear). Sponsorship opportunities are also available for this event, with 50% of the proceeds benefiting Out Beside You.

Awards will be given to the following categories: Biggest fish, heaviest stringer, and smallest fish (photo only). There will also be door prizes and a guaranteed first, second, and third place team payout.

Out Beside You serves active and transitioning military members, their families, and former and retired veterans of all generations through guided outdoor events in order to connect them with each other and nature through fishing, hunting, and agriculture.
