Opera Omaha will be holding chorus auditions for the upcoming 2014-2015 season. Auditions will be held on May 5 & May 6 from 5-7 p.m. in the Opera Omaha Rehearsal Hall, located on 1850 Farnam Street in Omaha. Prospective members must be 18 years old to audition and will be assigned a time slot. Please prepare two vocal selections, with at least one selection in a foreign language. Music selections not to exceed a total of five minutes. Arias, arts songs, or church solos are acceptable audition pieces. Please provide printed music as an accompanist will be available at no cost. Opera Omaha, the only professional opera company in Nebraska, began in 1958 as the Omaha Civic Opera Society, a volunteer association, and with tremendous community support became fully professional by 1970.
