Opera Omaha is pleased to announce their 2011-2012 season, “Experience Greatness”.
This will be the 54th year that Opera Omaha has brought world-class opera to the Omaha Metro area. Collaboration, expanded offerings, and beloved professional singers will be the hallmark of what will prove to be a very exciting year for the company.
Offerings for the year will be a concert celebration of the great works of opera (This is Opera!), a classic production for families and children (Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel), a rarely produced opera for “aficionados” and newcomers alike (Rossini’s The Marriage Contract), and a Gilbert and Sullivan masterpiece (The Mikado).
