Open Door Mission to Host Hearts of Hope Virtual Baby Shower for Lydia House Mothers

Open Door Mission (www.opendoormission.org) is hosting the annual Hearts of Hope Virtual Baby Shower in February. From February 1–28, each gift given will go to a mother experiencing homelessness.

The organization is asking the community to donate baby items such as high chairs, strollers, Pack ‘n Plays, car seats, blankets, onesies, bottle sets, bibs, toys, etc. The complete registry list can be found at www.opendoormission.org/events/virtual-baby-shower. To make shopping easier, you can look at the Lydia House gift registry at Target, Walmart, and Amazon under Lydia (first name) and House (last night).

Open Door Mission’s Lydia House provides emergency shelter, life changing programs, supportive housing and care to mothers. They serve the homeless and working poor, especially victims of domestic violence. Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission that meets the needs of individuals and families while inspiring hope for lasting change. Each day, Open Door Mission’s campus offers 816 safe shelter beds to homeless men, women, and children; serves over 2,100 hot, nutritious meals; and provides preventative measures to more than 1,082 people living in poverty.
