Open Door Mission Seeking Donations of Cleaning Supplies, Sanitizer, and Toilet Paper

With more people staying at the Open Door Mission for longer periods of time to avoid going to public places amidst the COVID pandemic, the Mission has had many new urgent needs, including cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and toilet paper, to name a few. You can help make a difference by hosting a drive for toilet paper or shopping off of the Mission’s Amazon Wish List.

“Thank you to our generous community who has been there with supplies during this pandemic,” said Open Door Mission President and CEO Candace Gregory.  “We serve vulnerable people with weakened immune systems and your continued support by providing critical resources is more important than ever.”

Open Door Mission is a gospel rescue mission founded in 1954 and committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty in Omaha. Each day, Open Door Mission’s campus offers 917 safe, shelter beds to people experiencing homelessness, serves more than 4,700 nutritious meals to feed the hungry, and provides homeless preventive resources to more than 1,000 people living in poverty to empower them to remain in their own homes.
