On August 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Open Door Mission (opendoormission.org) Hosted a back to school Celebration Carnival for the community on the Open Door Mission campus. The event was held for families experiencing homelessness and poverty. The carnival included games, a delicious meal, a petting zoo, face painting and balloon animals. Over 1,000 children received brand new clothing at the event. Over 200 volunteers showed up to help make this event a success.
