Several local companies are joining forces with the Food Bank for the Heartland to launch the first Omaha Restaurant Week this September. The event mirrors similar, successful restaurant weeks in large metropolitan areas such as Kansas City, Chicago and Denver.

Omaha Restaurant Week is a celebration of the unique, exciting culinary scene in the Omaha metro. Participating restaurants will offer a multi-course dinner at a fixed price of either $19 or $29 per person. Patrons can select from their choice of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Restaurants that participate support the Food Bank. Omaha Restaurant Week is endorsed and sponsored by Omaha Restaurant Association.

Omaha Restaurant Week was organized by Urban Events, Inc., the producer of the annual Riverfront Wine Festival and Omaha Beer Fest. Enrollment for restaurants begins in April. Interested restaurants and sponsors should contact Urban Events for participation information at (402) 850-6776 or info@omaharestaurantweek.com or visit their website at omaharestaurantweek.com.
