On Wednesday, Dec. 10, the Omaha Police Officers Association Foundation (opoaf.org) hosted its annual Shop with a Cop Christmas Program, a heartwarming tradition that brings holiday joy to children who need it most.
This beloved program pairs Omaha police officers with local children for a special shopping experience. Together, they pick out gifts, share stories, and create lasting memories, often forming bonds that extend far beyond the holiday season. For many of these children, this event represents their only holiday celebration, making the experience even more meaningful.
“Shop with a Cop is about more than gifts. It’s about creating moments of hope and connection,” said Patrick Dempsey, President of the Omaha Police Officers Association Foundation. “Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’re able to make the season brighter for Omaha’s youth.”
