Omaha Home for Boys Welcomes NFL Super Bowl Champ Michael Oher as Keynote

Tickets are on sale for the Omaha Home Boys (OHB; www.ohb.org) 100-year celebration featuring keynote speaker and former Super Bowl Champ Michael Oher, whose inspiring journey from the streets of Memphis to the National Football League is portrayed in the Academy-Award-nominated movie The Blind Side. Oher is scheduled to share his inspiring message on Thursday, October 8, at the CHI Health Center during lunch. OHB invites the public to join them in celebrating the milestone anniversary, aimed at raising money to benefit the more than 1,300 youth, young adults, children, and families served by OHB annually.

Oher was a first-round NFL Draft pick and a 2013 Super Bowl Champion with the Baltimore Ravens, after beating the odds and getting off the streets, through college, and drafted into the NFL as an offensive tackle, thanks to the support of the Tuohy family and his own determination and talent. He also is the author of the New York Times Bestseller, Beat the Odds: From Homelessness to the Blind Side and Beyond.

Omaha Home for Boys empowers at-risk youth with the skills and confidence needed to transition from a state of crisis to that of safety and growth. Tickets now are on sale at www.ohb.org.
