The Omaha Dog Park Advocates are proud to announce that the 9th annual Spring Bark in the Park event will take place on Saturday, April 27th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Hefflinger Dog Park, located at 111th and Maple.  Guests are invited to bring their favorite four-legged friends (and their leashes) to enjoy a howling good time and raise funds for the continued operation of both the Hefflinger and Hanscom off-leash dog parks.  There will be many fun planned events, including a new Style Show contest sponsored by Natural Balance and Petco that will take place at 1 p.m., where dogs can compete in their weight group for either the most creative costume or the best look-alike costume with their owner for a $5 entry fee with prizes being awarded in all categories.  This event will also feature dog-friendly vendors, $5 nail trims, rescue groups featuring dogs available for adoption, and the first 1,000 dogs in attendance will receive goody bags.  You can pre-register for this event on their website before April 25th, or on the day of the event for $10 per dog.

Established in partnership with the City of Omaha in 2006, Omaha Dog Park Advocates formed to generate funding, pursue grants and attend benefits on behalf of the parks.
