OHB Requests Financial Donations to Help Fund New Online School Internet Costs

With Nebraska schools fully transitioned to online learning, Omaha Home for Boys (OHB; OHB.org) is facing a new and rising cost of internet and technology bills to allow their young adults to stay in school. Financial donations would help pay for Internet and Wi-Fi access that their high school and college aged youth require to continue their education. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit youth and young families especially hard—taking away childcare, daily meals for their children, employment, and easy access to the internet from public places such as libraries.

A financial donation to OHB will not only help students access class work but will also:

  • Assist youth displaced from dormitory shut-downs
  • Provide meals to help young families feed their children
  • Provide rental assistance and other necessities like utilities, gas, insurance, and medical for youth who have reduced work schedules
  • Assist in buying groceries for young adults and families who have lost their jobs

In 2019, OHB served more than 1,300 youth, young adults, children and families. To donate to the cause, please visit OHB.org.
