OHB Participating in Share Omaha’s 2020 Do Good Week Presented by FNBO April 19-24
Omaha Home for Boys (OHB, ohb.org) is participating in Do Good Week April 19-24 and seeking community support for their mission. Share Omaha’s Do Good Week, presented by the First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO), encompasses five days dedicated to meeting the cash needs of nonprofits in our community, as well as volunteer and product needs, followed by a day of celebration.
OHB’s focus during Do Good Week is to secure funds to support the mental health needs of the youth and families it serves. The Clinical Services Program at OHB addresses mental health, behavioral health and substance abuse issues of clients as well as members of the community. In June 2020, the first teen entered OHB’s Crisis Stabilization Program, a new program that provides housing, therapy, and support to youth who find themselves in a crisis situation. The community’s support of OHB during Do Good Week will help teens and families in the region connect with therapy and family support. It will provide counseling services, education and skill building, helping youth and young adults become self-sufficient, productive members of the community.
Omaha Home for Boys equips youth, young adults, and families with the skills they need to become self-sufficient and productive members of the community.
