Notre Dame Housing has received a $2,000 Working Here Fund grant to support its resident food program. The grant is provided through Farm Credit Services of America’s (FCSAmerica) Working Here Fund. This grant will help provide quality food and meat for low-income residents.

Notre Dame Housing plans the food distribution near the end of the month realizing that seniors on fixed incomes often run short of the necessary funds to purchase nourishing food for their health and well-being. To help ensure adequate sources of meat and protein in their diet, Notre Dame Housing’s goal is to increase the amount of food received from other needed sources.

Notre Dame Housing is one of 82 organizations to receive a Working Here Fund grant in the first quarter of 2015. FCSAmerica awarded $135,000 during the latest grant cycle ending March 31, 2015.
