New Visions Homeless Shelter, Jennie Edmundson Foundation (jehfoundation.org), Heartland Family Service, Micah House, Catholic Charities and Nebraska Methodist College have joined forces to launch Warming Center Wednesdays for Women, a new initiative focused on providing critical resources to women experiencing homelessness.
Every Wednesday, women in need will have access to a welcoming space at the local warming center. Here, they can connect with housing, health care, mental health services, and other essential support, all offered by community partners dedicated to helping these vulnerable populations. With a holistic, compassionate approach, this collaboration seeks to address the unique challenges homeless women face, empowering them to stabilize their lives and achieve long-term success.
“We believe in the power of partnerships to transform lives,” said Rachel Reis, Director of Community Health for the Jennie Edmundson Foundation. “By working together, we can provide vital resources to the women who need them most.”
Warming Center Wednesdays for Women demonstrates a strong commitment to tackling homelessness in our community, offering a beacon of hope and help for those in need.
