New Omaha Business Hall of Fame Exhibition Opens at The Durham Museum

On April 25, in collaboration with the Greater Omaha Chamber, The Durham Museum unveiled a new Omaha Business Hall of Fame exhibition celebrating the city’s vibrant history and notable business leaders that have contributed to its success.

Individuals honored in the Omaha Business Hall of Fame are selected by the Greater Omaha Chamber and include such names as Eugene Eppley, Mildred Brown, Henry Doorly, Richard Bell, John P. Schlegel, and Edward Creighton. The 2012 class of inductees will be honored in the exhibition and include former mayor, Michael G. Fahey, Robert Gregg “Bob” Hoig, Midlands Business Journal, Paul Hogan and Lori Hogan, Home Instead Senior Care, Jun Kaneko and Ree Kaneko, KANEKO, Linda Hoeppner Lovgren, Lovgren Marketing Group and D.J. Witherspoon (1912-2000), Pamida, Inc.

The Business Hall of Fame will feature hands-on interactive and share the stories of many influential businessmen and women of Omaha. It will showcase objects drawn from The Durham Museum’s collection such as a section of a wooden Falstaff Brewery fermenting vat, a nightgown produced by Berkshire Hathaway, and a Nebraska Territorial Legislative desk on loan from the Union Pacifi c Railroad Museum.
