Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska (LFS) welcomes two new members to its Board of Directors.

Anthony Anderson is an insurance executive who owns and operates one of the top State Farm agencies in the United States. He has been identified as one of State Farm’s top young leaders.  Anderson is a graduate of Southern Methodist College, where he attended on a basketball scholarship.  He and his three siblings were raised by a single mother in the projects of Los Angeles.  Anderson credits non-profit organizations for keeping him off the streets and on a successful path and he views his role on the LFS Board as an opportunity to give back.

Gwendolynn Edwards is an executive administrative assistant at National Indemnity, a Berkshire Hathaway Company.  She supports Information Technology and AVP Project Management.

Edwards brings to LFS a long history of service to community.  She serves on the Board of the Nebraska Women of the ELCA and is a past-president, as well as a current member of the national board.    She is also a volunteer with the Boy Scouts, the United Way of the Midlands and the American Red Cross.

Lutheran Family Services is a statewide, community-based, non-profit organization celebrating 120 years of service in 2012.  The organization provides human care services that build and strengthen individual, family, and community life.
