Kids Can Community Center (www.KidsCan.org.) is to host a Neighborhood Night Out event August 3 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. They invite everyone to attend and hope to see you there for a night of fun! This year’s celebration will include a bounce house, face painting, balloon animals, carnival games, walking tacos, ice pops and a meet and greet to various community resources. Questions about the event can be directed to Julie Madsen at jmadsen@kidscan.org.

If you want to make a difference in the lives of children in the Omaha community, you can help by volunteering, mentoring or donating. There are a variety of easy-to-give programs, such as AmazonSmile, Baker’s Plus and TAGG, available to choose from.

At Kids Can Community Center, their mission is to educate, engage and inspire children through early childhood education and care (from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Monday-Friday for children ages 18 months to five years old) as well as out of school experiences. Founded in 1908 as Social Settlement Association, the organization has evolved over the past century to meet the continually changing needs of children and families in the community.
