NeighborGood (neighborgoodpantry.org) is proud to announce the availability of 1,000 summer snack packs for community members, made possible through a collaborative effort with Scoular and United Way of the Midlands.
As summer approaches, NeighborGood is committed to ensuring that local children and families have access to nutritious food while school is out of session. These snack packs are specifically designed to provide easy, portable nourishment and include a variety of items such as:
- Bottled water and Propel hydration packets
- Applesauce pouches and fruit snacks
- Granola bars and fruit bars
- Pretzels, popcorn and crackers
Recognizing the importance of inclusivity, approximately 5% of the kits are nut-free, featuring sun butter and goldfish crackers as safe alternatives. Each pack also contains a “211” resource card and a personalized encouragement card to provide both physical and emotional support.
The initiative was brought to life by Scoular employees who voted to support NeighborGood for their recent campaign. Volunteers from Scoular and staff from United Way of the Midlands worked together to assemble and deliver the 67 boxes of kits to the pantry. This generous contribution follows ongoing support from partners whose dedication helps NeighborGood serve over 4,300 children annually.
