Nebraska Diaper Bank (nebraskadiaperbank.org) has launched The Village, a monthly giving circle created to provide consistent, sustainable support for families in need of diapers across the state.
Diapers are a basic need, yet 1 in 3 families in Nebraska struggle to afford enough. Nebraska Diaper Bank currently distributes 300,000 diapers every month to over 5,000 children through community partners – but the need keeps growing.
We’ve all heard the saying, “It takes a village.” At Nebraska Diaper Bank, we believe that includes YOU. Each monthly gift helps ensure a steady supply of diapers, so families don’t have to choose between buying diapers and paying for food or rent. Just $18 per month ensures that one child in our community has enough diapers to stay clean, dry, and healthy.
“Our monthly donors are the heart of this mission,” said Anna Lehotyak, Development Director of Nebraska Diaper Bank. “The Village gives people a meaningful way to show up for local families all year long.”
Already, The Village helps diaper over 130 babies each month. The goal is to reach 150 by the end of this month — and the community’s support can help get there.
