Nebraska Community Blood Bank (NCBB)(ncbb.org) hosted a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Birch Drive donor center on Wednesday, July 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. at 13110 Birch Drive, Omaha, NE.
The new location expands NCBB’s ability to serve the Omaha community by providing an additional, convenient space for individuals to donate blood. As the primary blood supplier to more than half of Omaha’s hospitals, NCBB plays a critical role in supporting regional healthcare needs.
This new state-of-the-art donor center is designed to enhance the donation process and accommodate a growing number of donors. With demand for blood donations continuing to rise, the Birch Drive location will help ensure a stable and reliable blood supply for local patients and healthcare providers.
The event included a ceremonial ribbon cutting and opportunities to learn more about NCBB’s mission and impact. Community members, local leaders and healthcare partners attended and supported the expansion of blood donation services in the area.
