Every day, Mosaic in Omaha (mosaicinfo.org) works to relentlessly pursue opportunities to empower people to live their best lives. With partnerships from other local nonprofits and organizations, Mosaic values how different organizations can make an impactful and meaningful life for those in their services.

A match made in the arts is how Mosaic feels about its partnership with WhyArts, Inc.

“Partnership in the arts enriches our collective experience and opens doors to creativity and expression for all. It is especially crucial for individuals with disabilities as it empowers them to share their unique perspectives and talents, fostering inclusivity and breaking down barriers within our communities,” explains WhyArts Executive Director, Mary Gibilisco. “The true power of the arts lies in its ability to amplify voices, inspire creativity and foster a sense of belonging for all.”

With monthly workshops held at University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center, those in Mosaic’s services have been able to participate in acrylic painting with non-traditional items, watercolor painting of flowers, storytelling through personal stories and acting out a storybook, as well as moving through line dancing.

Mosaic is a whole-person healthcare organization spanning 13 states in more than 700 communities, providing support to nearly 4,500 people. Mosaic is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. For more information, visit mosaicinfo.org, or email Jessica Westerlin at jessica.westerlin@mosaicinfo.org.
