Starting in October, MilkWorks (milkworks.org/momtalk.html) is expanding its Mom Talk support group offerings, giving families more opportunities to connect with other moms, find support and talk openly about the realities of parenting.
Weekly Mom Talk has always been a place where moms can come as they are, ask questions, share what is going well and what feels hard and connect with others who understand. The expanded offerings will create even more opportunities for meaningful connection and conversation.
Mom Talk – Community Connect will feature rotating topics and guest speakers, bringing families together to learn and connect around a variety of parenting topics. Mom Talk – Return to Work will continue monthly, offering a supportive space to talk about preparing for the transition back to work or school. MilkWorks will also add Cada Semana Entre Nosotras, a weekly virtual Mom Talk group for Spanish-speaking moms.
All Mom Talk groups are led by Postpartum Support International certified facilitators and are free and welcoming with no judgment or expectation that anyone has it all figured out. Families can find current schedules and learn more at milkworks.org/momtalk.html.
