Midlands Mentoring Partnership (MMP) recently welcomed Kent Bellows Mentoring Program as its newest Partner Member.  MMP is thrilled to have this unique, arts-focused mentoring program as a member. The Kent Bellows Studio & Center for Visual Arts serves young people in the Omaha community, helping them discover their creative voice by providing mentorship with professional artists. The program offers high school students the opportunity to expand their knowledge of art techniques through intensive study and personal goal setting. While working closely with local professional artists, the students gain critical thinking and problem solving skills and a lifelong drive for innovation.

In order to become a Partner Member of MMP, an organization must go through a peer-review process and compile materials that demonstrate they are meeting or exceeding the best practices for mentoring.  Weston Thomson, Interim Executive Director of Kent Bellows Mentoring Program and his team were actively engaged in the process for a period of six months.  As a Partner Member, they are now eligible for training and technical assistance opportunities, background check support, professional development opportunities, and data collection and evaluation support all through MMP.

The Kent Bellows Mentoring Program is proud to encourage the development of inspired, engaged citizens dedicated to their community.  For more information, please call (402) 505-7161 or visit www.kentbellows.org.
