Midlands Community Foundation Raises Over $46K at 2019 Golf Tournament

Midlands Community Foundation (MCF; www.MidlandsCommunity.org) raised more than $46,000 at its 2019 golf tournament at Platteview Golf Club on May 20. The tournament was sold out with 148 golfers participating.

At this year’s tournament, donations were awarded to Papillion-LaVista Community Theatre (Kids Music Clinic), Monarch Band Boosters Association (student performances at senior centers), Conestoga Elementary School (equipment for outdoor classroom), and the Summer Reading Programs at libraries in Sarpy County (Bellevue, Gretna, LaVista, Papillion and Springfield) and Cass County (Elmwood, Louisville, Plattsmouth and Weeping Water).

“We are pleased to provide funding to these nonprofit organizations to assist them with their activities for children, particularly with the nine summer reading programs at the libraries in the communities we serve in Sarpy and Cass counties,” said Tonee Gay, executive director.
