Midlands Community Foundation (MCF; midlandscommunity.org) has awarded grants totaling $89,175 to the following 24 non-profit organizations serving Sarpy and Cass counties:

- Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska – $5,000
- Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County – $5,000
- Happy Paws – $2,000
- Kids Can Community Center – $5,000
- Latino Center of the Midlands – $3,000
- Lofte Community Theatre – $5,000
- Mosaic – $5,000
- Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries – $5,000
- Nebraska Masonic Home Foundation – $4,000
- Omaha Performing Arts – $5,000
- OneWorld Community Health Centers, Inc. – $10,000
- Patriotic Productions – $5,000
- Plattsmouth Education Foundation – $2,500
- Plattsmouth Public Library Foundation – $3,000
- Radio Talking Book Service – $2,500
- St. Bernadette School – $2,500
- Sarpy Community YMCA – $2,500
- Strategic Air & Space Museum – $3,300
- Titan Band Booster’s Association, Inc. – $2,500
This is the first of two grant distributions for Midlands Community Foundation’s fiscal year. The next grant deadline will be February 1, 2019, with funds distributed in April.
Through its grants program, Midlands Community Foundation places an emphasis on prevention and education. The Foundation has a strong commitment toward programs benefiting health, art, culture, community, economic development, education, and human services.
