Michael Oher to Speak at Omaha Home for Boys’ 100 Year Anniversary Celebration
In 2020, Omaha Home for Boys (www.OHB.org) turned 100 years old and now it’s time to celebrate! After having to postpone last year’s in-person festivities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization is more excited than ever to celebrate its milestone anniversary.
OHB’s 100 Year Anniversary Celebration will be held on September 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CHI Health Center Omaha. The public is invited to attend the luncheon where keynote speaker, Michael Oher, will be sharing his inspiring message.
Oher’s journey from the streets of Memphis to the NFL is portrayed in the Academy Award nominated movie The Blind Side. Oher was a first round NFL draft pick and a 2013 Super Bowl Champion with the Baltimore Ravens. He is also the author of the New York Times Best Seller I Beat the Odds: From Homelessness to the Blind Side and Beyond. Proceeds from the 100 Year Anniversary Celebration will benefit the youth, young adults, children, and families served by OHB. Reserve your tickets for the event now at www.OHB.org.
Through programs focusing on education, housing, employment, basic life skills, and mental and behavioral health, Omaha Home for Boys helps youth, young adults, and families transition from a state of crisis to one of safety and growth.
