MICAH House’s Girl Scout Troop Sets Goal for Cookie Sales
In 2018, MICAH House (www.themicahhouse.org), a homeless shelter for families and women, started a Girl Scout troop. School-aged girls who reside at MICAH House and Heartland homes are provided an opportunity to join the troop and meet other girls in their situation, earn badges, and gain confidence. This year, Girl Scout cookies sales are from February 1 to March 17, and the MICAH House troop has a goal to sell 800 boxes of cookies. Additionally, the troop will offer drive-thru cookies booths at MICAH House, located at 1415 Avenue J, Council Bluffs, throughout the sale season.
Girl Scout cookie sales help bolster that confidence by teaching the girls about goal setting, decision making, money management, and people skills. This year, the troop orders can be placed over the phone by calling (712) 343-4416 or going online to www.themicahhouse.org.
