The month of May is when national recognition is given to many healthcare professionals who dedicate themselves to their career and to the hospitals who are committed to the wellbeing of their communities. National Nurses Week falls around Florence Nightingale’s birthday – May 6 and is recognized this year from May 6 – 12. National Hospital Week follows during the week of May 10-16. Please join them as they shine a spotlight on their hospital and healthcare workers who go above and beyond in caring for people every day.
Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital thanks all the healthcare employees, staff, physicians and volunteers who make the hospital one of the best care facilities in the area and to express great appreciation for all they do, every day, in providing patients and family members with exceptional care and service.
MJEH prides itself in a reputation of caring, quality of care, expertise and the compassion shown to all. In the late 1800’s a group of women banded together to live their faith and help people less fortunate by showing compassion in helping and healing. These ladies were the founders and later incorporated into the Women’s Christian Association (WCA). Their mission continues today and is part of the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital’s philosophy.
As they prepare for new challenges in healthcare, MJE will continue to be at the forefront to provide the “best care” for the community and southwest Iowa. To the many nurses and healthcare providers who share their expertise and compassion day in and day out, who continue to exemplify who they are and what they do, they are greatly appreciated.
