MavRadio is excited to announce their expansion of sports broadcasting this year. In conjunction with UNO Athletics, not only will MavRadio be the only source for Omaha baseball, they will also broadcast three hockey games and six men’s and women’s basketball games. As they rely solely on donations and underwriting from the Omaha community, they are offering sponsorship opportunities in order to purchase updated equipment. A $400 sponsorship includes a thirty second written and produced spot that adheres to FCC guidelines for public radio and airs no less than five times a day in their rotation, ad space on their website, mentions during live baseball and basketball broadcasts, and mentions on any promotional posters distributed on campus and through social media.
MavRadio is Omaha’s true college radio station as they are a completely self-sufficient student organization on the University of Nebraska at Omaha campus. The MavRadio studio serves as a learning laboratory for broadcasting students with the goal of providing real world experience that will help them obtain a career in their respective fields. Their rock/alternative format attracts listeners on their 90.7 HD2 channel, their MavRadio app, and streaming on www.mavradiouno.com.
