The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) honored Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska as an Angel in Adoption™ at an awards ceremony on October 8 and gala on October 9 in Washington, D.C.  Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska (LFS) was honored for making adoption, safety and permanency a priority for 121 years.  LFS began in 1892 as two orphanages and has evolved into Nebraska’s largest mental health provider, the area’s largest refugee resettlement organization, and has an array of services that support at-risk families and reduce child abuse and neglect.
