Children living in Pottawattamie County – birth to age five — will be the beneficiaries of the upcoming “Wicker & Wine Basket Auction.” Todd and Sarah Archer are the honorary chairs of the 2013 event, which will be held at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs on Thursday, November 7 from 5-7:30 p.m. The evening features both live and silent auctions, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, as well as a program and video showcasing the life-changing work of the Center. In 2013, we will focus on work that is breaking cycles of poverty and abuse. The Pottawattamie County Center for Healthy Families serves hundreds of preschool children, babies, pregnant women and their families every year. The Center’s mission is providing early intervention and prevention programs to reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect.
Early registrations for the Wicker & Wine event are $40 and available at www.lfsneb.org. Although we request registrations by Friday, November 1, late RSVP’s will be accepted and you may register at the door.
