The Latino Economic Development Council (LEDC) (latinoedc.org) invites the community to two signature events this season celebrating Latino excellence, leadership and momentum in South Omaha and beyond.

The 2026 Adelante Gala takes place Thursday, Sept. 3, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement, 1115 Dodge Street. El evento del año brings together more than 500 community leaders, business owners, public officials and changemakers for a night of live music, dancing, inspiring speakers and delicious food. As LEDC’s most important fundraiser, the gala fuels small business development, workforce pathways and youth leadership. This year’s celebration carries special meaning. In June, LEDC and its partners broke ground on Plaza de la Raza at 24th and N Streets, the first phase of the Adelante Initiative transforming the heart of the historic South 24th Street district into a vibrant public gathering space.

The weekend prior, LEDC presents The Latino Summit on Saturday, August 29, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Omaha Central Library, 7205 Dodge Street, featuring panel discussions, workshops, and networking focused on education, small business growth, civic engagement, and immigration resources.

Tickets for both events are available on Eventbrite. For gala sponsorship opportunities, contact maria@latinoedc.org.
