La Fuente Business Center (lafuentebusinesscenter.org) would like to extend huge congratulations to the women entrepreneurs for their constant pursuit of success. The Women Entrepreneur Program (MUJERES EMPRENDEDORAS) will continue to support these women on their path to a financially sustainable future.

The Women Entrepreneur Program is happy to announce the new group of women who are taking part in the Financial Education training. 19 women will receive training and financial coaching that will allow them to become financially sustainable. Training is in Spanish, and it is possible thanks to the support of United Way of the Midlands, FNBO, First Citizens Bank, Mutual of Omaha Foundation, Veridian Credit Union, and Iowa West Foundation.

This new cohort of 19 entrepreneurs will receive FREE financial coaching and mentoring and, along with over 500 graduates, will be able to attend the annual event in October.

The MUJERES EMPRENDEDORAS (Women Entrepreneurs) program was started in May 2020 as a response to COVID-19, which had a profoundly negative economic impact on Omaha’s families of color. Many members of the Latino community are now turning to entrepreneurship as a way to supplement their income and afford basic necessities.
