Kids’ Chance Welcomes New Corporate Donor and Invites Applications for Scholarships
Kids’ Chance of Nebraska (www.kidschanceofne.org) recently partnered with Michael Foods, an Associate Level Partner, who will donate $10,000 over the course of four years. The money donated will allow Kids’ Chance to give more kids the chance to obtain a post-secondary education. Kids’ Chance invites all who qualify for one of their scholarships to take advantage of the generosity of donors such as Michael Foods. All eligible students, regardless of age, can apply for a scholarship today.
Kids’ Chance provides scholarships to children whose parents have suffered a workplace injury or death. Kids’ Chance is living by their name—they’re giving kids a chance. Scholarship applications can be accessed online and are due April 15. Kids’ Chance exists because workers’ compensation pays the medical expenses and lost wages when a worker is injured on the job but fails to take into account the costs of post-secondary education for children of the injured worker.
Kids’ Chance of Nebraska is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide financial support to further the education of the children of Nebraska workers who have been severely injured, totally disabled, or killed as a result of employment-related injuries or occupational diseases. Email kidschanceofnebraska@gmail.com with any questions or go online to www.kidschanceofne.org to apply for the scholarship.
