Kids Can Community Center will be presenting its first Can Do Junior Award to Madysen Early, in recognition for her efforts academically and for making positive differences in the community.  Madysen, age 10, attends the Kids Can’s before and after school programs and is a student at Pawnee Elementary.  The award will be presented to her at the Kids Cans Annual Fundraiser Luncheon on May 1 at the CenturyLink Center.  Bellevue University is the sponsor of the Can Do Junior Award, which includes a scholarship for 25% of tuition for Early’s first year at the university.

Madysen’s many accomplishments include honor roll recognition for four consecutive quarters, student council member, and a member of the Challenge program for students who are academic high achievers.

Kids Can’s mission is to empower children and parents to reach their potential and enable older adults to maintain their independence.  They primarily serve the South Omaha Community and Douglas and Sarpy counties with programs such as preschool, toddler program, childcare, afterschool and tutoring in addition to community service programs such as senior transportation, tax assistance, food pantry referrals and computer classes.
