Keep Nebraska Beautiful (KNB) (knb.org) was proud to attend the 2025 Keep America Beautiful (KAB) National Conference in Washington, D.C., from February 10-13. This annual gathering brought together affiliates from across the country to share ideas, undergo training and celebrate achievements in community sustainability.
During the conference, KNB participated in affiliate training sessions designed to strengthen their programs and operations. They also had the opportunity to hear from fellow KAB affiliates, learning from their successes and challenges. The energy and innovative ideas shared throughout the event will help KNB continue to enhance their efforts here in Nebraska.
One of the highlights of the conference was Day on the Hill, where they met with Nebraska’s state representatives to discuss the importance of litter reduction, sustainability effort, and their upcoming Greatest American Cleanup. Advocating for Nebraska’s environmental initiatives on a national level was an inspiring experience, reinforcing the importance of their mission.
KNB was also thrilled to celebrate one of their own—Keep Keith County Beautiful, a Nebraska affiliate, received the Keep America Beautiful Innovation Award for programs serving populations of 30,000 and under. Their dedication to sustainability and community engagement is truly commendable, and KNB are proud to see their efforts recognized on a national stage.
Attending this conference reaffirmed their commitment to keeping Nebraska beautiful, and they’re excited to implement the insights and strategies they gained. They look forward to another year of growth, collaboration and impact! Learn more on their website knb.org!
