Unite to show Omaha community members with vision loss that they are not alone. Be part of Outlook Enrichment’s (outlooken.org) annual Vision Beyond Sight Gala, Friday, November 8 at the Omaha Marriott Downtown in the Capitol District.
Outlook Enrichment will recognize its associate and volunteer of the year and feature adaptive activities for everyone to participate in during the event. The evening will be inspiring and comfortable fun as attendees are encouraged to wear their best jeans and favorite sports team shirt. While registration has closed for the annual gala, there are still other meaningful ways to make a difference. This includes volunteer opportunities, sponsorships and donations. Outlook Nebraska’s toilet paper product advanced to be one of two finalist products in the third annual “Coolest Thing Made in Nebraska” contest hosted by the NE Manufacturing Alliance and powered by the NE Chamber.
While Outlook Nebraska (Outlook Enrichment’s sister organization) produces janitorial products, it makes a difference by creating and sustaining rewarding careers for local citizens who are blind or visually impaired. This is important because 70% of blind Americans are unemployed.
Outlook Nebraska, the sole toilet paper manufacturer in Nebraska, is the largest employer of the blind and visually impaired in the Cornhusker State and a seven-state region. The majority of Outlook’s manufacturing production team is legally blind.
Outlook Enrichment’s mission is to empower their community and beyond by raising the quality of life of those experiencing vision loss. Learn more at outlooken.org.
