Jewish Family Service Offers Mental Health Counseling

There are many counseling agencies in the Omaha area, but Jewish Family Service (JFS; www.jewishomaha.org) is unique, and they are proud to be offering mental health counseling. JFS makes an extra effort to create a treatment environment that includes extensive communication with doctors, caseworkers, foster parents, school counselors and parents.

Jewish Family Service is a family-centered agency with a clear goal: maintaining focus on the client and the family, not on the dollar. Counseling is provided to all clients regardless of religion, gender, ethnicity or ability to pay. Their success is measured not by their reimbursement, but by the thoughtful collaboration that leads to personalized treatment necessary for a client to improve.

Jewish Family Service’s Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioners represent a combined experience of over 40 years in the field of mental health. Their therapists have masters degrees in counseling, are licensed by the State of Nebraska, and Nationally Board Certified. JFS therapists help people with premarital issues, parent/child relationships, conflict in marriage, single parenting, adoption, dealing with illness, grief and personal adjustment to new situations in the family or at work, as well as a multitude of other issues encountered in life. With a Certified Play Therapist on staff, JFS is uniquely positioned to provide counseling to children in a way that meets them on their level and garners the trust that is essential to healing.

Jewish Family Service welcomes you to experience the services they have to offer. Call (402) 330-2024 or visit www.jewishomaha.org for more information or to schedule an appointment.
