Join the Jennie Edmundson Foundation on Aug. 1 for the 23rd Annual Spirit of Courage gala held at the Mid-America Center. Since 2003, the Jennie Edmundson Foundation – Spirit of Courage events have raised over $2.5 million to support their cancer patients. This year, they are recognizing four amazing individuals: Bob Martens, Jennifer Potmesil, Kathy Racine and Abby Robinson. During the gala you will meet these incredible individuals and hear their remarkable stories during their battle with cancer.
Kicking off the Spirit of Courage event on Aug. 1, is the celebrity golf tournament beginning at 8 a.m. at Dodge Riverside Golf Club. That evening the magnificent gala begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and opening remarks at 7 p.m. The four distinguished honorees will share their courageous stories through video and a personal thank you. 100 percent of the net proceeds raised goes to the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital—Spirit of Courage Cancer Charitable Patient Care Fund through the JE Foundation. The funds raised are crucial in providing financial support in helping cancer patients facing financial challenges. These funds help uninsured and underinsured patients needing assistance covering expenses associated with their diagnosis and treatment of cancer. These funds assist with medications, treatments and deductibles, as well as everyday living expenses such as groceries, rent and gas. Without your help and support, these vulnerable members of our community would simply forgo treatment and/or medications.
Come enjoy an evening featuring a wine pull, silent and oral auctions and delicious food with family and friends. Sign up now for the golf tournament and purchase your tickets to the gala by visiting jehfoundation.org, or call (712) 396-6040.
