Jennie Edmundson Foundation to Honor 4 at the Spirit of Courage Gala August 7

Marking the 19th year, the 2021 Spirit of Courage Celebrity Weekend is set for August 7. Each year, the Jennie Edmundson Foundation (www.jehfoundation.org) celebrates and honors four individuals who join them and share their stories of courage during their battles with cancer. This year, Jennie Edmundson Foundation is excited to announce the four amazing individuals who will be recognized are Donna Elliff, Deb Potter, Jake Powers, and Kevin Rutland. The entire weekend is focused on these individuals honoring them for their courage and fight against this deadly disease. Each one will share their incredible stories during the Spirit of Courage Gala on Saturday, August 7, at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs. There will be social distancing provided with the table arrangements.

The day will kick off with a golf tournament at Dodge Riverside Golf Club, followed by the gala that evening starting at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the beginning of the silent auction. Dinner and opening remarks will begin at 7 p.m. followed by Spirit of Courage Recipient presentations. The net proceeds from the weekend will go to the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital Spirit of Courage Cancer Charitable Patient Care Fund through the Jennie Edmundson Foundation. These funds go towards helping cancer patients who face financial challenges in meeting their needs as they progress through their treatment.
