Mental illness affects nearly 1 in 4 Americans – people of all ages, across all walks of life. From depression to post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia and many other common mental health disorders, mental illness is real and more prevalent than you may think.

That’s why IABC Omaha is proud to partner with The Kim Foundation to host Art for a Cause, a special cocktail reception in support of The Kim Foundation on Wednesday, April 17. The Kim Foundation’s mission is to serve as a supportive resource and compassionate voice for lives touched by mental illness.

In addition to an array of raffle items, IABC Omaha will be selling one-of-a-kind artwork from local artists to raise funds for The Kim Foundation. Featured artists include: Aaron Christensen, William Holland, Jeremie Memming, Laura Mohr, Karen Schnepf, Josh Schwieger, and Liz White. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the art sales and silent auction items will go to The Kim Foundation.  The event will take place on April 17th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Corkscrew Wine & Cheese, 10924 Prairie Brook Rd.  Cost to attend is $35.
