HETRA Horse Academy Offers 12-Week Programs for Variety of Experience Levels

HETRA (Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy) Horse Academy (hetra.org) is an exciting 12-week program from January 8 through March 26. Divided into two learning levels, Horse Course 101 concentrates on individuals new to the equine environment, while Horse Course 102 is designed for current horse leaders and individuals who have successfully completed Horse Course 101. The programs involve hands-on activities with the horses and in the classroom. All participants must be 14 years of age or older and must complete required participation paperwork. Class sizes are between six and eight participants. A minimum of three participants are required to run the class.

Horse Course 101 meets on a weekly basis, every Tuesday evening between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Horse Course 102 meets weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. These courses offer certifications along the way.
